How Does a Spirit Think

 

I would like to start this evening by asking each one of you to relax your physical body…to relax your mind and allow your thoughts to roam freely. . . Now relax yourself emotionally; and that means releasing whatever worries you have had today, whatever joys you have had . . . I would like you to try and find yourself in touch with your soul, with your higher Self, having allowed your normal thought processes to rest, to relax, to release. . . . .

 

    That is as close as you will get in a physical body of sensing, feeling, understanding, being aware of how a spirit thinks.  What I am saying is that a spirit does not think, a spirit is about being, it is about an energy, an energy that is free of earthly things, of physical things, of mind things, of emotional things.

 

    A spirit is an energy that in itself has a frequency and that frequency is like a musical note, a resonance, it is like finding a level of understanding without using your mind.  This is why I have encouraged people throughout the time that I have spoken through this sensitive, to allow themselves to become aware that there are energies in the universe, and to understand that within the physical body there is a polarity of energy, in fact many polarities.   The challenge is finding the harmonisation between all of your polarities, as the Buddhist would say, finding nirvana.

 

    I find it very fascinating because so often spirits in physical bodies talk about spirit release, attachments, negative energies but the spirit has the same problem because once that spirit has elected to go through physical experience whether it is through homo sapiens or any other form of experience, it starts to become contaminated by that physical experience.

 

Your choice as a spirit

 

So your spirit chooses a life within a human body, it chooses its parents, and it has chosen the moment of coming into life to try and face challenges that help it to move on and expand. But of course it is carrying with it all that it has ever been.  And when I talk about the higher Self containing all that it has ever been, I don’t mean it is like a computer package or a disk.  It is like an essence; it is a frequency that holds all the notes and resonance of whatever you have done, wherever you have been, whatever types of life you have led.

 

    If for example you have led a particularly difficult lifetime in a previous life, the energy of that physical beingness is still with you as spirit.  So you see, as much as you are affected by spirit, spirit is affected by you, which of course it has to be, does it not, because this is another polarity, this is the whole object of physical life:  it is creating a new kind of blending, a new attempt at harmonisation.

 

     When people are healing, whether it is through dowsing, contacting other energies, reflexology, acupuncture, homoeopathy, orthodox medicine, it is about bringing different energies together and matching/harmonising them.  This is why I teach the importance of wholeness, the importance of understanding that if you are going through a difficult phase in your life, it is something you are needing to go through, something you need to look at and try to understand.

 

    In the overall sense, there is no such thing as right and wrong, there are no mistakes in your life.  In the same way you can argue that there are no successes in your life, there is only harmonisation. And if you find that harmonisation, it begins to allow you to expand in a way that you have never been able to before, because you are starting to ‘be’.  And as you start to ‘be’ this allows spirit both to free itself from the human thought processes and also to blend with those processes, expanding, growing, feeling, sensing, understanding, forgiving.  Sometimes when I talk about unconditional love I actually feel guilty about saying it to any spirit within a physical body because I understand and appreciate that it is only something you can work towards, it is not something that you can totally give or be.

 

Freedom from the need for revenge and retribution

 

But an understanding of unconditional love can free you from the need for revenge and retribution, punishment – all those polarised ways of being and feeling.  You only have to look at any troubled area on your planet and you can see that the trouble is continuing because neither side is prepared to listen to the other.  Neither side is prepared to concede that there is always another point of view.  Neither side is prepared to come together, bring together, to listen, to hear and to understand.  Pure spirit can be all of these things, but a spirit has to deal with the flavour of the physical incarnations it has been through.

 

    It is interesting that I am actually talking about something tonight that I have never talked about before.  I have talked about incarnating, about the effects that energies can have on you as a being, but I have never asked you to look at it from the other point of view.  So because of that I would like to open up the evening for questions.

 

     But before I do so, I would like to try and sum up by saying that a spirit does not think in the way that homo sapiens think or the animal kingdoms think, or any other kingdoms experience.  Spirit is free from that; it is an energy, a frequency of energy. It is like a harmonic and that harmonic can become out of tune because it is trying to deal with situations that are beyond its normal experience.  This is one of the reasons why spirit needs physical life in order to play a part in its move towards wholeness; for this is what each one of you is doing – you are moving towards wholeness.  So if you have a physical problem, the more you can see that physical problem in light of the whole, the more likely you are to understand it, the more likely you are to be able to move beyond it.

 

What is God?

 

 I think this is where some of the confusion has come about when one considers God.  What is God?  God is a state of consciousness that encompasses all experience, both light and shadow, and yet where there is complete harmony and balance therein. The God of your universe is an expanding God, it creates new thought that goes out to experience.  And as the experience accumulates, slowly that spirit will find wholeness, it will find a point of balance between light and shadow and between all other states of energy and being.  That is the moment when it will rejoin the Godhead.  But because that spirit is unique, as every spirit is unique, and every experience that you go through as an individual is unique – you will actually rejoin the Godhead in your own spirit’s time.  So it is not simply coming home, it is coming home and adding to what is already there.

 

It is imperative that this planet moves beyond the concept of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.  Because if it does not, it will condemn itself.

    Spirit as an energy is not conscious of space, it doesn’t occupy a space like a physical body, like a chair that you sit on, like the car that you drive. A spirit is an energy - it has no space, it has no time. In other words if it were your wish, you could reincarnate into the past or reincarnate into what you understand as your future, because the evolution of the physical body has created this need for achievement, to move forward, but it is a moving forward that brings together the light and the shadow in ever greater balance.

 

    Interesting isn’t it?  Can you feel the energy in the room now?  Can you feel yourself being part of the whole? Can you become aware of all these different aspects of your being?  I have elected to talk about this because I think that your planet is reaching a point in its evolution where it needs to understand more clearly that there are two sides to everything.  And in making that understanding, it also has to appreciate that karma – the effect of what you do now - is about what and how you move forward.  It is not about retribution, revenge – that is negative karma.  It is imperative that this planet moves beyond the concept of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.  Because if it does not, it will condemn itself.  Its survival depends upon its ability to move beyond that concept.

 

    So the concept of moving towards unconditional love is very important,  understanding that whatever a person does there is always a reason and that reason needs to be heard, understood and helped. . . . If you have any questions or thoughts about this or anything that is troubling you, I am here to share, I am here to support.

 

 Q:   H-A I would like to ask you a question.  It relates to the subject to which you brought enlightenment tonight. My question is about suicide bombers and the fragmentation of the spirit when this happens.  Obviously the spirit is very split off, what you have said about the harmonisation or lack of is very interesting because one of the questions I wanted to ask is what, if anything, is the mechanism that we can utilise to try and help these people who would – and I don’t say this judgementally -  who appear to be brain dead and  follow relentlessly their leaders who are urging them on into murder and mutilation.  You have talked many times about the IRA and so on. What can we do to help this situation forward? Obviously every spirit must be responsible for itself but I think many of us globally feel rather useless.  We keep sending love, light and understanding to a situation but it seems to get worse, not better.  Is there anything that we can do individually, apart from balancing the masculine and feminine?  We would obviously hope to have an understanding of these matters but it seems to be going in a direction that is perhaps not in the best interest…

 

If one person on your planet can stand up and say, ‘I do not condemn suicide bombers because they believe they are doing the right thing to help the planet forward’, they would actually be helping to stem the aggression.  When you look at the injustices that have taken place on your planet over the 1,000s of years that homo sapiens has been living on it, you can see that you are dealing with something that is very firmly rooted. You will not stop them by calling them terrorists, you will not stop them by shooting them or killing them, because their spirits will come back wanting even more revenge, wanting to be even more angry at the way they have been treated.  So it requires a tolerance and an understanding that is beyond what most people can appreciate at this moment in time.

 

    These people are not doing it just to be difficult; they do it because they believe they are working for God. They need to be heard, they need to be understood, they need to understand that the world wants to hear them – hear their feelings of injustice.  Why are certain nations hated across the planet?  Because they have abused others, they have abused other countries and other people, other beings. And as we move into the age of Aquarius, more and more spirits will no longer  recognise authority.

 

    This is one of the difficulties you are facing across the planet because the influence of Aquarius is about self-empowerment.  I have spoken about this for many years. Many orthodox religions will begin to fail unless they empower people to think for themselves.  The only part of them that will remain intact is the fundamentalist part, which means that to balance that, it needs even greater love, unconditional love and understanding.  If each one of you can walk out of this room this evening and say, ‘I walk out of here in a spirit of forgiveness’, you are beginning to disempower their resolve.  And at present, their resolve is that the only way in which they can be heard is through violence.  If we respond with violence, we fuel and increase their need to be violent.  That is the way it works, that is how it is.  And that is the space your planet is in at this moment in time.

 

    There are no short cuts to dealing with this, there is no magic wand or magic potion, but every time one of you can open your heart and their mind to hear them, to understand them, to forgive them, you are playing a major part in disarming them. You are playing a major part in taking away their need to behave in the way which they feel is the only way they can be heard; and they believe God is supporting them in this injustice.  Now I am not condoning what they are doing, I am not saying it is right.  Equally, I am not condoning the way in which they will be treated by the authorities if they are captured.

 

    This is a fundamental lesson that all the great nations on Earth need to learn pretty quickly, otherwise the prophets of doom will have their way.  Right from the first time I spoke through this sensitive I have said, ‘The future of this planet is not predetermined, it is not bound to end in tragedy.’ And there are a great many people now beginning to emerge who want to give that unconditional love, who want to understand in a way that has never been understood before.  But this can also create a polarity; and this is the difficult part of it.  So think in terms of ‘balance’, think in terms of ‘unconditional love’; think in terms of ‘forgiveness’ on all sides. Q:    I would like to ask this question which is from a gentleman who has been following your teachings for some years.  Many years ago we had a look at The Great Invocation and we felt, and he felt also, that the words, ‘and may it seal the door where evil dwells’, needed to be replaced.  We actually replaced it for ourselves with, ‘and may it heal the place where evil dwells’.  It was seen to be a logical and spiritual change and more in keeping with today’s attitude.  This gentleman has now come into conversation with a friend about this who has suggested that the intention is to prevent evil coming from outer space to planet Earth.  And in reverse we are told to work on ourselves and that will spread outwards, presumably to neutralise the evil, or whatever.  I wondered if you have anything to say on this?

 

Yes, I have.  I feel in one sense you are indulging in a game of semantics. You cannot stop evil energy coming in from outer space because it is here.  But what you can do is to create so much love, drawing the love in from space, that it will neutralise that evil.  You cannot lock it out.  It is like you as a being, you cannot lock out the shadow from your life.  Each one of you has a shadow aspect – when you feel angry or disturbed about something.  So it is about creating the balance, you cannot stop it – if you stop it you are stopping the whole evolutionary process of the universe.  It is not about protecting in that sense; it is about expanding and opening.

 

   Now I do understand that on an individual basis, if you start to open and expand yourself and your levels of awareness, you will also need to protect yourself because of the additional sensitivity that you are placing on your being.  But that does not apply in the sense in which the invocation is made.

 

Yes, because the so-called evil, or shadow as I prefer to call it, in fact all energy is transmutable, is it not?

 

Of course.

 

So the shadow is here and we can’t seal it out, it is in us, isn’t it?  We have to find the balance, which in a sense is the neutralising.  So when they are saying we have to work on ourselves and that will spread outwards, that’s true.

 

I would like to feel that an invocation could be created that acknowledged the self-empowerment of the individual, the choice of the individual, because by every thought, action and deed you make you are drawing either light or shadow towards you.  You have the choice, you have the free will to do that.  In a strange sort of way we are coming back to the previous question.

 

Thank you, I think you have answered it.  Whether the other gentleman will see it in that way, I don’t know.

Each age seems to bring different ways of understanding things, doesn’t it?

 

I think it is important for any philosophy or spiritual belief to allow itself to change.  If it does not then it ties itself into a knot.  And where there is a knot, you do not have a free flow of energy.  This is what I tried to do with each of you at the beginning of the talk.  I wanted to free you to feel the energies in the room, to be with me in energy as well as listening, so that you were experiencing on every level.

 

I think I would like to leave you at this point, for I feel that the input of our discussion has created a level of ascension in each one of us - an ascension which brings the light and the shadow together within us and makes our hearts sing.  It makes our whole being resonate with that inner frequency that is the essence of our creation. . .
